BFuel Canada Corp. (BFuel) was established in 2006 to design, build and operate regionally integrated small to midcap biodiesel production facilities in western Canada.

The amount of biodiesel required in Canada within the next four years is estimated at one billion litres per year. This is a result of the increasing interest of Canadian companies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and the mandates from the federal government for 2% content of biodiesel by 2012 and a BC Provincial mandate of 5% starting in 2010. At this time, only a nominal amount of biodiesel is produced in Canada.
