BFuel Canada Corp Management

The development and management of the BFuel Canada Chin Lakes Biodiesel Facility is spearheaded by two teams:

  • The BFuel Canada Corp Team consists of senor business development staff, led by a board of directors and who collectively bring extensive experience in farming, commodities trading, transportation & logistics, strategic planning, succession planning, business development, financial management and marketing.. We are also fortunate to have on staff one of only ten recognized biodiesel BQ 9000 auditors in the world and the only one in Canada.
  • The BFuel Canada Chin Lakes Biodiesel Facility Management Team is currently under development, spearheaded by the corporation's CEO and COO, with a focus on logistics, commodities risk management, quality control, plant operations and engineering.

Senior Management Team

Georgina Knitel, MBA, P.Ag. - Chief Executive Officer
Georgina holds a B.Sc. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Alberta and a MBA in Agriculture from the University of Guelph. Prior to joining BFuel, Georgina founded Ag Plan Inc. providing business and succession planning to Agribusiness and small business; she also spent seven years in various management positions with CIBC across Southern Alberta and Saskatchewan, and seven years in management with Lethbridge radio stations Country FM 95.5 and the B93 FM. Georgina also mediates for the Provincial Civil Court in Lethbridge and Medicine Hat, primarily for cases regarding agriculture and business. She is a member of the South Saskatchewan Regional Advisory Council for the Province of Alberta, a board member of the Agriculture Institute of Canada, a Director for Alberta Grain and Oilseeds Crisis Advocacy Trust and a Past President of the Lethbridge and District Exhibition. Georgina maintains her Professional Agrologist designation.


Glenn Collick - President
Glenn is the principal founder and President of BFuel Canada Corp. Glenn has invested nearly a decade of time and resources into the research and development of renewable resources including recycling of tires, wind energy and biofuels. Prior to immersing himself in the renewable energy sector, Glenn was a business executive with 20 years experience structuring, re-structuring, financing and developing public and private companies. He acquired his experience mainly as an investment advisor and entrepreneur involved with mining projects in several countries including: Argentina, Canada, and Mexico. Glenn also owned and operated his own construction company that focused primarily on the commercial sector.


Ken Fryer - Chief Operating Officer
Ken is one of only ten recognized biodiesel BQ 9000 auditors in the world and the only one in Canada. An early adopter of biodiesel, Ken led in the introduction of biodiesel into the British Columbia market while fleet manager at the City of Richmond. Ken has over 20 years experience managing corporate and municipal fleets and was recognized with the Biodiesel Fleet Manager award by the Canadian Renewable Fuels Association in 2005. Ken holds a diesel endorsement issued by the Ontario government and possesses additional credentials in purchasing (CPP) and administrative management systems. In addition to leading 4Refuel's clean air fuels portfolio, Ken is a regular speaker at industry and government conferences on alternative fuels and is a nationally recognized expert and authority on biodiesel.


Ron Knoedler - Project Coordinator
Ron, a founding partner of BFuel Canada Corp., graduated from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, attaining two technical diplomas; Fish, Wildlife & Recreation Management, and Forestry Resources Technician. Having grown up and worked for two decades on the family cranberry farm in south western British Columbia, relating to the farmers and landowners of southern Alberta seems a natural fit for Ron who has been involved with the company from its inception. Ron also spent six years in Whistler BC, as owner/operator of a popular restaurant.


Albert Van Genderen - Head of Marketing; Co-Products
Albert has over 36 years experience in exporting and trading a very wide range of agricultural commodities, including canola seed, meal, pellets and screenings. As an exclusive marketing agent for several forage processors in western Canada Albert had successfully expanded the market in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China, Europe and the Middle East. Naftac has also imported and sold chemicals to industrial companies and the oil and gas industry as well as contracted over 30,000 acres of mustard seed with growers which were sold primarily to Europe and Bangladesh. Albert was a founding member of the Canadian Dehydrators Assoc, the Alberta Processed Forage Assoc, the Canadian Densified Hay Assoc, and the Canadian Hay Assoc. Albert has held directorship and executive positions these associations including several terms as President of the Canadian Hay Assoc.
